ALAUX
Born in 1925, Jean Pierre ALAUX represents the 7th generation of artists in his family. In 1949 he graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Paris. His first solo exhibition in 1951 in Paris, is the starting point of a full life dedicated to his paintings. Jean-Pierre ALAUX has been awarded many distinctions and recognized for his great talent. His creations are collected around the world in many private and public collections, as well as museums.
Jean-Pierre was appointed Official Painter of the French Navy in 1975 and Official Painter of the Air and Space in France in 1992. In 1989 he was named “Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur”, one of France’s highest civil distinction, as Painter and Sculptor.
Jean-Pierre has several of his creations on the France, et Mississippi transatlantic liners as well as on the Foch French military aircraft carrier.
